Making the Odenah Market

Here are the pictures of the making of the Odenah Market,   Cass Lake’s new Indian Village:

06-25-08_1234.jpg 06-25-08_1235.jpg  First we have to cut poles and trim them so they look like poles not trees

06-25-08_1240.jpg  Then we load the poles and transport them to the building site.

06-25-08_1420.jpg  Next comes the task of bending the poles and tying them.

07-01-08_1320.jpg  Then, we all get inside the completed lodge and say “Commodity cheese” for the camera!

07-17-08_1327.jpg  This is a picture of some of the arbors we built.  The village is a work in progress.   We plan on building some more small wigwams (or lodges) and another big lodge.
